Now, after Hull claimed the process was flawed, an independent panel has ruled the decision "cannot stand" and told the club they can try again.
In its judgment, the panel found that the original ruling had placed too much weight on objections from supporters.

Those pesky fans, what do they know or care about the game.

What does it matter?

A team is what the fans call it, the official name doesn't matter.

Bournemouth are actually called AFC Bournemouth. But no one calls them that.

It's only temporary anyway, until the next owner comes in and changes the name back again.

Just like Cardiff changing their shirt colour, in 100 years times it will just be a amusing footnote in Hull City's history.

Fans only should get worked up about stuff like the goings on at Portsmouth. That is far far more important.
