Apart from the bloody annoying ads, I'm wondering who it is who buys all the cars as from what I've heard they offer really shit prices, I presume it's local dealers looking to pick up cheap cars and flog them at large mark ups in their showrooms....... and how come they don't have a we sell any car.com too, cut out the midddleman.

They offered £50 for the accident-damaged but easily fixable, Renault Clio on my driveway....even though a scrap dealer offered £200 a few weeks back.

I beleive they are part of the same group as BCA and carcraft. Presumabally the half decent cars they sell at carcraft the rest they put out at auction.

Robbing bastards!!

Just tried my bike on their we buy any bike site and they offered me £998 for a bike that i could easily get £2200-2300 on Auto Trader.

It was recently reported that they offer you, say £6,250 and when you go to the centre they start chipping that back, by that time some people have already committed to something else and are a bit stuck, the offer drops from what was a poor price to an unbelievably poor price.. Unfortunately it's look as if it's someone else preying on the vulnerable.

They use the same program to value cars that all the dealers do. Why anyone would sell through them is beyond me as you could make more money through autotrader/pistonheads.

Mmm I have a car that is worth around £1500 and they offered me £800. Not as bad as some have already posted, but shit nonetheless.

I imagine they would then send someone to look at that car who would come up with a huge list of "faults" and drop the offer to £500.

exactly what they do - they are robbing bastards. but where there is demand, these cretins will make money. Cant see much difference between these and payday loan things

The adverts make them sound like a big company, but when I turned up to sell my old escort to them a few years back, its like a tiny little office in an industrial estate (Denton Island, Newhaven).
I ended up getting £50 for it, which I took, as the car was albeit falling to peices, and probably wouldnt have made the 20 minute journey back home, it was in such a state. I could have got £150 scrap to be fair, but didnt want to fart around, just cut my losses.

I would avoid at all costs.

They should rename themselves webuyanycar.con

Same as others offered just under £800, when the same car on e-bay was fetching just under £2,000

Anyone who sells their car on this must be stupid. Its the sort of thing my mother in law would do. Preying on people who see even the smallest task as a massive challenge - the thought of advertising privately or actually driving to a normal dealer is daunting. "oh its just easier to phone these people up"

Almost as stupid as as anyone taking up a payday loan.
