Withdean's wall of silence last night allowed one problem with the team to show through. Where have all our gobby players gone??

I don't think I heard a midfielder shout all night. Leon whinges from time to time, but it's pretty much left to Cullip to do all the shouting now.

A serious point this. The mouthy players want to be leaders and gee everyone up.

When we were successful, everyone would chip in. Bobby was always moaning. Oatway and Chippy were threatening any slackers with a good going over. Cullip was yelling for winners. To me it suggests a few of the current players lack self-confidence.

That's a very good point. I could only hear Cullip communicating at all (remember him giving Harding a serious bollocking!) which is his role as captain. But no-one else seemed to say a word. Confidence is down, and also two of our more mouthy players in Charlie and Chippy aren't playing at the moment

Great post we should be ashamed of ourselves this season we have been awful, i would say its the worst it has ever been at withdean in previous seasons we have got slightly louder as the season progress's. I have heard more of an atmosphere at Steyning Town from the bloke and his dog. So then chaps any ideas as to how we can really get behind the team at withdean as we need to turn it in to a fortress again..Don't say a roof cos that ain't gonna happen and the away section don't have a roof and they always put us to shame..

not what the players can do, what we as supporters can do to increase the level of noise and support from the home ends
