I love the way the ref is just watching untill they hit the ice!

And at Sunday leage level, some of the games ARE like that!!

Bring back the rule where players are penalised for dissent by moving the free kick forward ten yards.

If rubgy players can accept a decision without calling the referee a cheating f***ing twat then I'm sure footballers will soon learn, thick though some of them undoubtedly are.

Yellow cards resulting in a sin-bin for 10 minutes like rugby, then the side they the offending player is playing get the advantage rather than some other side later on in the season after they've racked up 5 yellow cards.

Totally agree. Football could learn alot from it's grander cousin.

From boxing, I think we could borrow the 'Ring Girls' and replace the fourth official with them. I am sure people would stick around to see how many minutes are left, if someone like this little fox was on display.

Treat injured players on the field while the game goes on (within reason), which would soon stop cheating tarts from rolling around pretending to be hurt in order to waste time.

The players having some respect for the officials, not shouting in their faces when a decision goes against them

Seems a lot of these changes are coming from rugby ;)

I agree with the return of moving the ball forward 10 yards for dissent and if it then means that the kick is in the penalty area it is a penalty. That would soon stop the dissent.

Also I am not a rugby fan but I like the way their refs just stand their ground and make the player go to them rather than chase after the player.

As somebody else said let the ref stand off, watch, and take note of what is happening then make his move when it has quietened down and then send off the offenders whether it be 1 , 2 or 3 of each team.

Also when a physio comes on leave the player on the touchline for 2 mins after teatment to ensure that he is fit to come back on.

It'd be interesting to see the crowd reaction if officials wore microphones like they do in rugby and American football, and had to explain their decisions.

Bet the players wouldn't be so mouthy if they knew their comments were being broadcast to the entire stadium.

I also do not see why the "wait for the whistle" policy seems to be applied by referees to free kicks in positions around the penalty area.

You foul an opponent to stop him getting into a shooting position, why should you then be handed the advantage back by being allowed time and space to form a wall? Tough shit- if they take it and score, it's your bad luck, and if you deliberately walk across the ball like players inevitably do to delay things, then you should be booked. End of.

goalkeepers should be allowed to ride a HORSE in their penalty area
