Not just saying this after the event (having said it from pre-world cup) but Rooney was clearly out of form (fit or not) and should have been dropped.

The result wasn't down to him, but the lack of punch in front of goal was lamentable. I really do think things would have been different had Bobby Z been fit - and that's not just with BHA goggles on.
