When he was here on loan people were saying we'd never be able to sign him as he'd be out of our league. 6 Months on he's shit. FFS!!!

They also said he was crap after the first couple of games and that we should have tried harder to get blayney. Then, when blayney came back on loan, they said he was crap and we should try and get henderson.

In short, a lot of people talk out of their arse.:)

Henderson is better than Kuipers FACT -Not on what i've seen
Blayney was better than Kuipers FACT - Looked like he could have been last season, not on this seasons form though
Roberts was better than Kuipers FACT- Yes, i agree, but was more injury prone.

Enough said.

Henderson just gives too many goals away, the first was a piss easy stop, yet he fumbled it. Doesnt matter how many good saves he makes, when we score so few goals, one f**k up will cost us the game.

Perhaps the strikers want to practice hitting a barn door with a banjo then, rather than slatting one of the best young players in the team.

So why blame Henderson? If CKR or GNW f**k up it goes down as unlucky but if Henderson f**ks up he should be out the door.

NSC said Henderson was SHIT when he came on loan from Reading, and we are ALWAYS right.

He has done nothing since leaving us.

Never said he was shit, I think he has the makings of a decent keeper but he wasnt ready for a relegation fight.
Think he did have the skills for a relegation battle as he got a full cap whilst playing for us.

1. Henderson does not command the box

2. He makes to many mistakes resulting in goals

Yes Henderson is a good young prospect but schould not have been playing in a relegation dog fight in which his performances have got progressively worse as the season went on.

Kuipers is experienced and takes command of his area and would not have made as many gaffs this season.

Typical scapegoat seeking. Hendo is a jewel of a player who we will sell in a couple of years for megabucks.

Wayne had played 18 times before he came to Brighton. For Notts County, Tamworth and Wycombe.

Were you really expecting a Moseley or a Beeney or a Steele?

He has been thrown in at the deepend with a dodgy(ish) defence, that see far more of the ball than they should do.

I will be sad to lose FDM, but Hendo is the future.

I hope your right London Irish!

By the way I think we would have gone down with Kuipers in goal as well!

With no money and a third tear squad it was accademic

shock of shocks - I kind of agree with Dwayne.

Anybody on here who says that keepers aren't/can't be taught to parry the ball away from the danger area is living in cloud cuckoo land. As a young keeper, I was coached by Peter Bonetti amongst others and he taught us how to block the ball so that it didn't fall to on rushing attackers and defenders.

Having said which, not sure Kuipers is better, but I don't see why we spent money on a keeper who is not significantly better than what we had.

This isn;t a pro Kuipers post, more a not sure about hendo one.

If they are of a similar standard, I think it makes perfect business sense to ship out the old pro and get a young (potentially up and coming) player. We have some great youthful keepers and Henderson will cost us less that FDM, and sell for more in the future....

I see your point - I just think that the money should have been spent in places where the team would be significantly strengthened. When funds are tight, it's about eliminating your weaknesses and I believe there were/are bigger weaknesses than our goalkeeper.

All your own opinion, but one that i agree with. Those calling for FDM back forget how poor he was at Luton, how injury prone he is, and the fact that he's let in shite loads at Boston.

1. Poor at Luton? What?

2. Injury prone? Don't agree. Seem to recall his last injury was a result of colliding with the post while making a great save. Hardly makes him injury prone.

3. Do you happen to know how good Boston's defence is? However good a goalie is he's going to have trouble if his defenders are lousy.

In my view we should have kept Kuipers. Based on what I've seen of Henderson I would say that Kuipers is a better goalie ... and we already had him so no need to spend money on another goalie when we've got no money.

Very true. The left back for a start! I am guessing that they thought the outlay of £20k would not make much difference to the quality of player they could 'try' and get in. I am thinking they saw the opportunity and took it. Lets face it, we have been through more keepers than most teams, and a permanent deal was what was needed. Particularly with Kuipers becoming more and more injury prone.

I would love to be a fly on the wall with all the transfer business going on. We probably know less than about 15% of what has been happening behind the scenes.

After this wonderful coaching from The Cat "and others" what clubs did you play for and how many league games did you play?

Do not get me started on Henderson. Will he ever learn to push the ball out to the SIDE :nono:

He is piss poor and we should cash in and get rid now

Making such a sweeping statement you must get a good tv/internet reception in France. In fact you must have seen every game that he's played for the Albion. Perhaps you can share with us all the link so that we can watch too when the Albion are playing away.
