We cant afford Prem players is what we were told today. We cannot sign preimiership players within the budget we have. Other teams have players like Vassell and Bowyer, but Gus said we have Vicente to provide that sort of experience.

OK...........Someone I know doing a BA honours degree in sports journalism at Southampton is doing a stint with a large sports media organisation and apparently the word is that there is a deal still on the table.

A signing and a loan are completely different things. Even the simplest journalist would know that.

Really how much do you think Bridge is on a week? How much would Man City want us to pay of that. Gus said we are in the 14 down from the top bottom ten if you like in terms of financial status in the Championship.

Could be a better signing than Vicente based on knowing English football and having a better injury record. Apart from the Croatia game when he was utter dog shit (who wasn't that night) his a quality left back and would improve our team immeasurably. His quick, has a great delivery and would be the best full back in the championship.

Spot on!

I have a dream,a dream that Bridge has been sensible with his finances during his career-

A dream that has Bridge as one of our highest paid players yet for him a relatively small amount for him compared to what he was on,but as he will stay fit,is enjoying his football the most he ever has,and is secure with his partner who is very happy to be at Brighton too,he see's money no longer as the be all and end all and is very very happy to be here, remains fit and helps take us into the premier league.

I predict that Wayne Bridge will eventually sign for us and score his first goal on 25th September 2012.
