Just reading the Evening Standard that Watfords wage bill is only £3M a year.
Only two teams are lower than that.
One is Crewe, and there's no prizes for quessing which is the other.
Lewington is out because the new directors - the Russo brothers wanted him out.
I'm sure that I heard on SSN today that Webbers contract is not wholly owned by Watford. He is partly owned by "investors", and it is not up to the chairmen whether he is sold or not.
I presume these investors are the Russo brothers, in which case the sacking of Lewington may have little or no effect on the Cullip / Webber deal.
