Did anyone see the ITN news at ten last night?

Near the end of the programme there was a feature about how councils are wasting the tax payers money, it high lighted a lady who lives in a council house that had £5000.00 spent on renervation only two recieve a letter saying it was to be demolished two days later.

Now this has nothing to do with our plight , bur at the end of the feature they posted a email adress for any other wastes of money by councils known?

Maybe someone on here with more intelegence could email in and maybe our plight would be brought to the nation on prime time tv (also the LDC would look the twats they really are)

That's a very good idea - and a much better story than the silly season drivel that they are featuring on there.

The £5k spent on renovation was probably budgeted for and the council knew that if they didn't spend it they would lose it. By demolishing the house they maybe able to claim back the the £5k which means they have it to spend again.

In the end, it was total non-story because they decided not to demolish it anyway. Watching that old dear blubbing was 30 seconds of my already fairly pointless existence that I'll never get back. Typical ITV shite.
