Ok we lost, but I cannot understand why some people want Slade out.

Yesterday I thought we played well with only 10 men against an MK Dons team who are 5th in the league and had 11 players on the field.

We had more shots on goal, and I thought we put some nice passes together. I thought the defence was quite solid. We should have had a penalty and from where I was sitting it did not look like a sending off.

We played well, but on the other hand MK were VERY average.

Their keeper made a class save in the first half, before El Abd got the red, and right up untill then i thought we could win it but the sending off changed the way we had to play, and we still created chances, but we arn't going to play like brazil with a man down. No complaints about our team bar Dickinson's below par work rate today.

Apart from Elphick I couldn't fault any of our players.

It is quite funny how most of the Slade out threads are started just after the end of the game, by people who quite obviously haven't even attended the game. :tosser:

Agree. Thought we played some good stuff yesterday. I was particularly impressed with Jake Wright. Best game for us so far. Thought we at least matched if not bettered MK even with ten men. I know this start is about as bad as last year now (am I right in this assumption?) but somehow I'm not worried yet. Still feels like we are going in the right direction and absolutely no question that Slade should be given way more time yet. Ridiculous to even suggest his sacking at this stage. Just the usual idiots on here baying for blood.

Thats what i saw too, even with 10 men i thought we could have still got a point, if not all 3.

Trouble is there are too many on here who go by results only, and despite a record of 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats in the last 6 games, they are quick to jump on the sack the manager / blame the player bandwagons, they just can't accept that we will lose some games during a season.

It was an entertaining game, with many promising signs for things to come, I believe we will start to move up the table very soon and will easily be safe at the end of the season if not in a play-off place.

Despite the loss the best bit was not to do the bleeding obvious and sub a forward when the red card happened.

In fact we ended up with 3 forwards

Agree with everything thats been said.

Thought we played well again and were unlucky not to get something from the game. Slade summed it up well in his post match press conference - if we keep playing like this and working as hard as we are, our luck has to change soon
