It was Alan Durban who said if you want entertainment go to the circus and in celebration of the fact that us and Stoke were the 0-0 kings we all went up to Stoke in our pyjamas for a sleep on the terraces.
Except we got f***ing beat 3-0

Then that Durban bloke was a fool. We can play winning footie and we can play attractive footie. The 2 are not mutually exclusive. It must have been like watching Arsenal in the early 90s, Ernest!

Ahh ok. I think I was there! Was that the time Mickey Thomas scored against us and the Police told Roy Chuter to take down his 'Repent and Defend' banner?

That's f*cking harsh!

Chris Ramsey had been injured, Foster was available again and so would obviously play centre-back, and Gary Stevens had just played as good a game as anyone had ever played for us at centre-back. If Melia had put Stevens at right-back - his natural position - there would have been an outcry!! As it was he put left footed Gatting there instead, but to be honest I think 90% of managers and 95% of Albion fans would have done the same!

Possibly, but I still blame Melia because he hesitated. Whiteside had crocked Ramsey and he was hobbling around, it was obvious he had to come off. Whilst Melia dithered United scored.
