Does anyone know the OP in the real world. If you do, go and check on him. His posts on here recently are concerning. Not least this dumpster fire.

If you are going to troll at least enjoy it 😬

India/ Pakistan skirmish does not have same impact with our fanbase as Brexit or the invasion of Israel by Hamas.
Our fan base is far less inclined to be interested in an incursion in the LOC in Kashmir than the fact you need to a passport stamped in Dieppe now from the Newhaven ferry 😂

My point was that Pakistan is allied with China and India is allied with Russia. The whole area is a tinderbox. Just hope it doesn’t escalate.
Currently, it seems that Pakistan believe that they shot down 5 Indian jets and a drone in the attack yesterday (I've seen no evidence) and that this, hopefully, is their only retribution. Fingers crossed that it now calms down in that region.

Any Indo-Pak conflict should be restricted to who can kick the highest.

I vote Team planet though the way things are going a major war somewhere seems almost inevitable and don't shout ukraine/gaza. I mean far bigger.

Not proud to say but it might even have net positives as current slide into climate and over population meltdown is going to need something bloody big to put the brakes on. Of course thats easier to contemplate when your not under the bomb

There are - history shows if you win a war, you can benefit for hundreds if not thousands of years. Your reply is just so very on brand but it's bullshit.
Yes. It might be an unpopular view, but you CAN win a war: WW2, Vietnam war, American Civil war and the American War of Independence being four that I can think of off the top of my head. Wars where there was a clear winner, and if they represented a fork in the road of history then in the aftermath the world went in a particular direction.

However not all wars have winners. Sometimes you think there's a winner, but all they've done is merely sow the seeds for future conflict (WW1 being a good example). I would suggest that this current India v Pakistan confrontation falls, at best, into that category (as have their previous military encounters). At worst of course it could escalate into a nuclear exchange, then there really will be no winners.

Sadly it will mean serious loss of life, but if India and Pakistan go ‘nuclear’ it will show the rest of the world the actual horror of it all, and hopefully when the dust has settled it will never happen again.

That already happened at the end of WW2. Humans don't learn.

Perhaps it would give us a century or so of non-nuclear respite.

I think that'll do. The India / Pakistan conflict can still be discussed on the main thread.

I can't speak for Bozza, but, personally, the thing that's saved the OP here is the pile on and "waving of imaginary cards". It really doesn't help.
