Want to try a new sport?

I'm doing a taster session tomorrow (Saturday) in Preston Park for the sport of disc golf. Like normal golf but swap the clubs and balls for frisbees and a hole for an elevated basket (or a tree, lamppost or bin).

So if you fancy trying something new then come along. I'm going to set up about 10.30 and keep going until 5. Will be by the big oak next to the tennis courts. Cost is nothing and there will be a free to enter competition to win some discs.

I remember the good old days of World of Sport with Dicky Davies. I saw coverage on there of a round of frisbee 'golf'. Exactly as you describe, with the basket for a hole.

Loved playing frisbee as a kid. We got right into it, buying all sorts of 'championship' discs that came in various weights and colours.

It's not very good on that game. The version on Tiger Woods 10 is much better!
