Thought he had a poor game, Elphick had to do a lot of covering for him and was giving him some stick at times too, as was Cox in the first half. Was surprised how much their Cox muscled him around first half as well and he seemed to misjudge a fair amount of balls as well.

Virgo has constantly performed to a low and at best average standard. And this is OUR captin? Today he was poor, showed no spirit and even players such as Fraser and Elphick were having a go at him. Obviously demands a lot of respect if even the younger players are having a go at him eh! He played very poor first half and was only lucky that he wasn't punished for it, second half was better but was still too blaime for 1 or 2 of the goals.

True, but he played centre back today and was still poor. Not the same Virgo we all used to love.

I thought him and Elphick operated nightmarishly yesterday. Didn't work as a unit.

So during the summer, can we PLEASE have a player older than 25 to organise the defence on-pitch properly?

The best centre-half at the club. Didn't have his greatest game yesterday but he didn't play half as badly as some people on here are trying to make out. Let him settle in that position with Elphicck and we will have a good central defensive pairing.

Shame Adams/Booker/White didn't realise this earlier as I think with them two all season we wouldn't have looked so shaky at the back.
