I suppose it just shows how much of it is luck of the draw. I am with BT and have had absolutely no problems with them, they have answered phones relatively quickly and have been able to sort out my problems speedily and efficiently.

This is true. It's the same if you ask for advice on computers/mobile phone vendors/service providers - one person has no problems, the next person has no end of hassle - no company is totally good or totally bad.

Went from Virgin to Sky last Dec.

Sky provides a much better TV service but Virgin's Telephone is better.

Broadband is surprisingly MUCH better with SKY compared to Virgin. I constantly had problems with Virgin where I'd lose my internet connection whereas I've never experienced any issues with Sky.

I lose internet connection with virgin every Saturday & Sunday, very annoying. Their custimer service just tells you that I need a new modem EVERY time even though it clearly works during the week without a problem.

I think you'll find people who have had bad experiences with all providers at some point, be it Virgin, Sky or BT. I'm with Virgin and have had no problems so far and am also happy with the price i pay.

Well Virgin took me out for a very nice posh meal at Christmas while BT could only manage a curry so they're alright by me !

Been with cable, NTL and Virgin Media for 15 years - no major problems in all that time.

Have used them for 2 years in my new place where I couldn't get Sky. Have had zero problems.

no problems at all, nice, fast broadband and two free speed upgrades so far, basic TV package could be a little better I guess.

I now get M+ on the t.v. Just for ssn.
