In England the players use their surnames on shirts, but in Spain is very usual to use their first name: Raúl, Xavi, Joaquín, Sergio, Pedro and tons more. In Brazil too (they use even their nicknames).

Good news. Hoping to see him on the pitch or bench but as said above, think it's just part of getting him into the routine and part of the squad. Spaz warmed up on the pitch with the players at Bristol City on Saturday despite not being on the bench.
