I have to say that after an edgy start I thought Vincelot had an excellent game on Wednesday night at left back and in my opinion should keep his place in the starting line-up tonight. I particularly thought he looked more of a threat going forward than MP and his distribution was very effective. Don't get me wrong, Painter is a great player but for me Vincelot has earned the right to keep the shirt on his last performance.

Any thoughts ????

Vincelot was incredibly good against Liverpool however Painter may get the nod simply because its two games in two days. If Vincelot does not feature tonight then he may well be in the lineup for the Palarse game on tuesday. Its a tough call but I would very much like to see Vincelot play left-back for the first team if he performs like he did at Liverpool. I still think Painter is an incredibly reliable choice though, just sometimes seems to get caught out for pace.

Personally, I wouldn't want Painter up against Wilfried Zaha on Tuesday. It's my main fear for the Palace game, Zaha and Scannell are very quick and are going to love the big pitch at the Amex.

I would want to see Easter and Ambrose (who is nowhere near the player he was, apart from set-pieces) in the side - I think Murray, Scannell and Zaha would give us a lot more problems.

Snodgrass is skilful, but not as quick, so maybe Painter will get the nod - but for the first time his spot is up for grabs.

Vincelot please.
Painter great servant, but lack of pace has been spotted by opposing managers on video planning.

I can't see any reason to leave Vincelot out of the team - with or without Painter. I suspect the back four will be as always and the midfield will be the interesting selection. I would say that Noone, Vincelot, Bridcutt are hard to rest given how well they played (and assuming no injury etc). The question is how you pick just one more from the options available. CMS and Barnes up front.

All over the place
Tough one but as long as Vincelot is playing I'll be happy, he is one of my most favourite players you know! Who knows, he might even be in goal tonight after Casper's horror show on Weds!
