He did a recent interview with Tubes where he mentioned Brighton (favourably) without any goading. I'm torn between wanting him back but not wanting it to be a failure. We have great memories of his seasons with us and I wouldn't want to spoil that.

I know we all have incredible memories of BZ and his then contribution to the club was just amazing, in all fairness I can't remember any player that has left a club with good feelings ever rubbishing them afterwards, with the exception of Leon Knight I don't think players really ever go public about there past club/s in a bad way, so BZ saying great things about Brighton is nothing new really (I cant say I heard the interview with tubes will try and find it in a bit)

I personally don't want to debabte BZs thoughts about Brighton, we all know he loves the place, but that is not a good enough reason to retrurn, like you I would much prefer to have the incredible memories I have of him while he was with us.

Anyway IF he were to come back, I'm not sure NSC could handle the meltdown that would happen, the server would look like a puddle of water and us mods would have to have a major pay rise

I kind of agree with "never go back" but if Zamora was to return in January we'd be getting a better player than the one we sold. If he was old and past it then he may tarnish the old memories.

He would never drop down to the championship all the time he is trying to break into the England squad.
Best place for him is West Brom, because Roy Hodgeson (maybe Hughes) was the only manager (in the prem) to understand and use to full effect Bobby's style of play, and it worked. If you have a happy, fit and popular Zamora you will get goals and assists galore. At West Ham and Spurs he got zip. The injury could not have come at a worst time and Jol going to Fulham was always going to end in a move as Jol does not like his style.

i dont think he's what were after at this point in time to be honest......still think we need a big forward for cms to run off and a ball making midfield general........don't ask me who though , ain't got a clue.

The last four words sum it up.

Very hard to see how anybody could possibly think he would be a failure in this division. He would score 20+ in this division with ease, he would be different gravy altogether. Much better player now than he was when with West Ham in this div...All that said, I cant see him coming back at this stage, in a month of sundays.

In your opinion!

No one, not anyone can predict what any player would score with any team, and it has been proven time and time again, a premiership / Division one (old money) player does not always shine in a lower division, George Best for example, all he did was increase attendances after he went from Man U (if anyone wants to disect that and prove me wrong on one or two games then so be it, in the main he did nothing apart from mayby his time in the USA!) these players need to fit into a team, thats what it is, a team, not a one man band.

In my opinion, someone like BZ coming to The Albion at this point in time or even in the near future would be nothing more than a media circus and have damaging effects on other players, also the expectations on him from players and fans alike would be massive, first sign of it ot working would create a major problem also the media would highlight it a lot more causing more pressure to him.

So to make a sweeping statement like you have about 20 goals + in my opinion is not a justified comment, now in theory he SHOULD, in practice i very much doubt it.

Why can't people just remember him as he was with us, brilliant times great memories, ones to treasure.

George Best was a total piss head by the time he went to Fulham, didn't even bother turning up for training 9 times out of 10. Hardly a good comparison.

I dont think he would be nailed on to score any goals at all! Look at Carlton cole, not doing it for west ham when he was doing well in the premiership last season and getting England call ups! and in all honesty, i think he is better that zamora!

I gave a "For example" not a comparison, by my way of thinking, for example is a general comment meaning a number of people would come under that hat.

And in all fairness George Best (who I was lucky to see play a number of times) was better pissed than most were sober :) and you can include Jimmy Greaves in that......

I love Bobby to bits but he is still a premiership player. We couldn't afford him and if he really wants to go to Euro 2012 then he needs to stay in the top division. I have, however, always taken pride in the fact he wears a 25 shirt.
