Nope. Don't think he'll move to the Midlands.

Only one direction he's headed, and that's south (but please don't quote me on that).

So, Palace then !

I gather he was linked with a couple of clubs yesterday, including going back to Spurs. He certainly won't be heading back to us any time, and I really hope he doesn't.

You hope he doesn't?

Absolutely. Never go back. When he was here it was great, but that time is gone, it cannot be relived. Unless we make the prem inside 2 years, he wouldn't come anyway. He's 31 next month, and an England international, so if you think he's going to drop down a level, you must be mad. In about 2 years, he'll be looking to retire, it is very rare that the top players carry on at a lower level, he certainly shouldn't need the money. As for his reputed love for our club, I have read exactly the same about West Ham, so I would tthink he'd go there if he went anywhere for sentimetal reasons.

QPR and Villa are interested. can see him going to QPR!, doubt he'd go back to spurs! Arsenal should make a cheeky bid. he's miles better than Chamakh!

I do think we have a bit of a mis-guided love for BZ, I saw Soccer AM where he was goaded by Helen Chamberlin into saying he loves Brighton and their supporters and I am sure he does, his memorys of those days will be incredible for him, "happy days" would be his answer I'm sure............and they were for him and for us.

But he has moved on, he is also a footballer, footballers these days have only one loyalty and that is money! unless we can offer him a fortune (which we can't!) he will not be coming to the Amex in the near future, and when he is to old to be caring about money, I very much doubt we would either want him or would he be of any use to us.

I am defo in the "Don't go back" camp anyway, and the above is of course only my opinion!!

He did a recent interview with Tubes where he mentioned Brighton (favourably) without any goading. I'm torn between wanting him back but not wanting it to be a failure. We have great memories of his seasons with us and I wouldn't want to spoil that.
