Firstly had a brilliant day,was in Brighton from 9am until 8pm and never encountered anything other than friendly fans. The ground on the whole is brilliant and a world away from the Withdean and you hve every right to be a proud as yiu were on saturday. Minor nitpicking I would say the concourse at the away end is too small and the red & white lighting wasn't there as wasn't a bookies and the screen showing Rovers players wasn;t great but a nice touch which I'm sure you will improve on.Also the home end behind the goal does look a little strange and unfinished (which it may still be?) Give me the amex over the Keepmoat anyday. After the game me and the wife had a couple of pints in the away end bar a few Brighton fans came in and they were very friendly and knowledgable and had rightly enjoyed there day, we then moved on to the 3 tiered stand (bottom level) where there is much more room, even around 6.30 the Albion fans were stilling singing in there and it was a great atmosphere, met a father and son who again were very nice people (even managed to smile through my ever increasing drunken rants about the referee!!).Again the pride was bursting out of the fans it seemed they didn't want to leave the ground.
On the train from Falmer to Brighton I managed more rants about the ref all taken in good spirits, by now I was clutching at straws and the only rise I could get from the people around me was when I critised the pies (which incidently were the best I have tasted at a football ground, that managed to get a few good natured jeers. Hopoe we are dstill in the same division next season as we will make a weekend of it.
Good Luck.

Meopham, Kent.
The "unfinished" bits, are sort of finished as we stand, but plans are afoot for a planning application to add 8,000 seats, so we have clear got gaps and bit where we intend to build up the corners and an extra tier on the East.

Pleased you had a great day!!

good comments and Id like to apologise for some of the booing that went on when Sharp was being treated, I had a teenage lad behind me saying some awful things and booing and I hope he feels about 2"s tall this morning when hearing that he may have a broken ankle. Glad you enjoyed your day and if you play like you did in the 1st half your be fine this season

Thanks for your veiws there Mr D. 'Tis heartening to hear you had a good time with us - despite the useless Ref, the unfortunate injuries & the final score(!). I hope those x-rays on BS reveal some positive news for you & the injury list gets down to managable levels tres soon. Best wishes for the season.

Interesting that the away concourse is too small. Whats it going to be like when its sold out?

I went over for a pint of the phantom guest ale after the game and was struck by how small it actually is. Whereas the North is one big open corridor, the South concourse is two refreshments bars long (with a 'Beer and Pie' shop in the middle) - felt a little cramped, and this was at a point when 80% of the Donny fans had gone... 2000 Palarse fans in there will be interesting!

Was it your goodself with the black Sergio Tachinni t shirt on and you were due to get the 10.30 out of Euston with a load of Leeds on it? If so, I was one of the Brighton lot (small, grey hair Brighton retro shirt on) who got talking to you in the away end bar straight after the game and then again in North Stand bar (via East Stand as well!). Cant be many that drunk in all 4 stands on Saturday!!

Apart from your banging on about the ref which was amusing, was very good to share a beer with you, your lady and pink Lacoste man! Agree with you about away end size and token effort on the screen. Was only disappointing bit of ground I saw. Was funny when we ambushed Mark Lawrenson though as he tried to sneak through!

Must say, when I saw you in North Stand bar later on, didnt think u had a hope of getting train. Hope Leeds behaved themselves if it was you.

Good luck for rest of season.

Having not ventured into the south concourse i would have expected it to be same size as north one, find that a bit weird seing as both stands have virtually same capacity. Gonna be very cramped when full then.

Hope Sharp is ok. It pains me to think that we might be one of the reasons why you might not do as well as
you could this season.

See you at the return fixture.

No, it can't be as it's built directly onto the hillside, whereas the north is hollow (hence the different positions of the vomitories).
