Video camera

A few weeks ago I asked advice on a video camera. I took on board the advice - particularly about operating system as I'm still running XP.

I bought a second-hand Sony DCR-DVD200E, in seemed to have decent reviews and it worked with XP ... except it doesn't.

I've tried using DVD-Rs and DVD-RWs and my PC doesn't recognise either (nor does my DVD player), nor does my PC recognise the camera if I plug into the PC via USB. Has anyone any ideas what else to try?

Are there any drivers that you need to install?

I own a Sony Z1E and a EX1 so don't have this problem luckily!
