Vicente Back At Valencia

Vicente was on the bench for the away leg on the Friday, so must've been fit, and he was then dropped from the squad completely for the Monday. Very strange, as I find it hard to believe that he'd got injured in whatever light sessions they'd have had over that weekend.

I read an interview with Vicente and he claimed he was fit for both games, and did not understand why he was not picked & kinda alluded to a personality clash between the two....

Another reason why I blame Gus for losing against Palace at home....

found myself watching one of those Sky Golden matches last night. Barca v Valencia 2001 - Guardiola's last game, both teams going for Champ League place, young Vicente on the left for Los Che (proper Vichente pronunciation from Gerry Armstrong), Baraja scored a couple of headers for Valencia. Rivaldo notched a hattrick. Winning goal in the last minute - best overhead kick I've ever seen.
