I don't blame those companies either, Cornholio, but there's a difference between not blaming them and passing through their thresholds to spend your money there. For me, that's like accepting that the passing of time has made what happened OK, which for me will never happen. Call that denial if you will, but again, for me there's a difference between denial and refusing to accept what happened with a shrug.

If I live to be 100 I'll never shop there. There should be a football ground there, or at least it should only have been demolished after we'd sorted a new home. End of.

I refuse to go to the shops there and the missus refuses to go as well, even though she's not a fan of either football or the Albion - she just knows it would annoy me if she did.

Personally I will be prepared to consider going there once we are safely up and running in our own stadium, however none of the outlets appeal to me anyway. The companies that trade their may know the history of the site but from their point of view it's in a reasonable location and if they didn't open up there, one of the rivals might well have done.

The real culpability is with Archer, consequently I will NEVER do business with any company which he is taking a profit from. Wickes. Focus, etc will only get me as a customer once he is no longer anything to do with them.

I'm glad this has started an interesting debate and that nobody has seen fit to abuse me. Different people deal with things in different ways which is as it should be. It's just interesting to see how other people view it.

My views are that if it hadn't been Toys R Us, it would have been someone else. I won't boycott them in the same way that I won't boycott TDK or Virgin for sponsoring Palace. Life is too short to hold grudges for little reason and nobody died. We will never forget or forgive Archer and Bellotti. But I can now pass and even visit the Goldstone without getting upset as I did at first which has got to be a good thing. It's helped me cope with a distressing period.
