It's chucking it down in BN43, a couple of flashes of lightning.

Strangely I came across this thread and 2 seconds later saw a flash of lightning. Pissing down hard in Patcham.

Gone very quiet here now, the thunder and lightning appear to have passed and the rain has noticeably eased.

Mid Sussex report: been watching lightning over the Downs for an hour or so, rain has just started about thirty seconds ago and the wind is whipping up.

And it smells like a storm outside, if that makes sense?

Strange you say very loud, as it was the quietest big thunderstorm I've ever seen, despite masses of lightning.
