That was clearly offside, his foot was off. A) why did they not use the new technology b) why take so long c) why get it wrong again d) why oh why?
I'm sorry, I've not got over yesterday and now hate VAR even more despite its free food points!

I’m staggered nobody started a thread for either VAR or this weekend’s PL games

It was Doms foot not the scorers, that was my understanding, regardless for the life of me I don’t know why like in rugby the ref normally asks is there any clear reason why I can’t award a try ( goal in this case) ……..every goal if you micro analyse it you’ll always find something, it was far to close both ways to change the decision but yet again VAR tried.

VAR is destroying the game slowly.

Yeah I get that. It is not supposed to be micro analysed. To me, a fair few vodkas deep on holiday, it looked off.

Absolutely.
VAR seems to be set up to ask "Is there any way we can disallow that goal?"

Another VAR thread.
Exciting!

Do you think that if we keep on and on, they will get rid of it?
They won’t and Brexit won’t be reversed either, but both are terrible and there’s no harm in pointing out all the things that are terrible with it.

However, on this particular instance the goal was clearly a good goal. The offside foot didn’t belong to the scorer. How it took six minutes is the issue.

I heard that VAR central had run out of 50ps for the leccy.

BTW, I was happy for you to win, that wasn't the issue. 🙂

I did wonder if I was looking at the wrong foot but after many Spanish measure vodkas I wasn't sure. I'm still going but not for much longer though! 😆
That explains it. The Sky commentator called it way earlier than the officials but you would have had to be able to hear him and not be drinking Spanish measures!

Enjoy the (short) rest of the evening :drink:

Appreciate it thanks🙏, in my heart of hearts I can’t see us getting CL but it would be nice to take Chelsea out of the equation, and honestly I think we’d get a hiding in the big European competition so there’s nothing spoiling.

CL football would help you upgrade the squad over the summer surely. Who might be sold other than Murillo?
