Hi all. Going to the V Festival in a couple of weeks - I'm actually going for both days for the first time, which means camping for the first time.

We're planning to get there fairly early on Saturday morning as opposed to Friday evening. Will there still be half decent places to pitch our tent, or will we be stuck next to the toilets by turning up on Saturday morning.

Ta muchly.

Your proably get somewhere a bit crap to be honest. Most people turn up the day before. It will also take you a fair amount of time to find anywhere at all so I would recomend going on the Friday. It's a laugh the night before a festival starts unless it's Glasto and England have just gone out of the world cup on the big screen!

definitely won't want to leavce it til saturday morning as the campsites at V are pretty compact as it is so you will eithe rbe many miles walk away or in a stream of piss.

Great - now I'm depressed again!

Did you watch it at the cinema screen, or at the main stage?

So... so... drunk...

As for V - save your money for glasto year after next and really go for it. Alternatively, get there as early as you can - but I shouldnt worry too much as V is the cleanest festival of the lot (in my opinion).

On the big screen at the main stage.... a brilliant festival.

V festival is ok for the line up normally (not this year) but the people there are not the usual festival crowd. Loads of chavs and people who only like the bands that get played on local radio.

The up and coming stage was good when I went (I think it was the same year as Glastonbury with Muse headlining) but most people ignore it.

If you get there very early you should be ok.

V is no Glastonbury but it is a decent festival, a good laugh, and there are always decent bands to be seen.
