Hi,

I have a major problem! My Parents have been on holiday and whils they've been away ive been using my step dads pc (who hates me) Anyway i don't know which of the dodgy sites ive been too ;o) but whenever i now try and access the internet i get the error

adp module: bargains.exe - Application Error

The instruction at "0x77f58ddf" referenced at memory "0x32017800". The memory could not be "written".
Click OK to terminate the problem.

Ive been searching the net and all says i need to pay money for spyware adware etc! and the free downloads find the viruses etc but then u need to pay to remove them! Is there anyway i can find this bargains.exe and remove it?

Cheers :(

that looks lie a spyware thing to me, download Adaware (google search) and run that, it should delete it. Also search your C: drive for bargain.exe and delete it and any folders that say Bargain (check them first though, if the exe is inside delete the whole lot). Then run a virus-scan to be safe.

theres an ada-ware so you're probably getting mixed up, go to Wozzas link and download that

you could also run spybot to clean the registry
so that it doesn't re-load anything each time you power-up.

spy bot is also free

get it here

SpyBot

good luck

ps. if the OS is windows xp, then you could also try a system restore once you've used adaware & spybot
