Matthew Upson has an ankle injury
Matt Upson has vowed to play through discomfort in the push for play-off glory.
The Albion centre-back returned to action despite a small tear in an ankle tendon in yesterday’s 1-1 draw with Blackpool.
He does not expect the problem to rule him out of Albion’s last two league games – or any matches which might follow.
Upson said: “It’s something I don’t think is going to ease off too much at this stage of the season. I’m trying to get through and just finish the season well from a personal point of view.
“I think it needs rest. It’s just painful. I take some tablets and hopefully see it through.
“I haven’t trained a lot. I train as much as I can.
“At this stage of the season, with the amount of games, the training is not as important. I just want to make sure I am fit and ready for selection in every game.”
He added: “There is plenty of rest time if the season extends. It won’t be problem.”
