Easy the line this week.

James in goal.

Back four of Bridge, Campbell, Terry and Neville

Midfield of Scholes, Gerrard, Lampard and Bekcham.

If Owen is fit then i expect him to be up front with Heskey, if not i would play Vassell and Heskey.

would you not play rooney for this one ?

Mine would be:

James
Bridge Campbell Upson Neville (Terry doesn't tend to play so well for us)
Scholes, Gerrard, Lampard, Becks
Owen, Rooney

I think we should also give Vassell a chance as he always plays well for us, but only seems to come on in last 20 minutes!

Formation 4-1-3-1-1

GK James
RB Neville

CB Campbell
CB Terry
DM Butt
CM Gerrard
RM Beckham
LM Scholes
AM Rooney
CF Heskey

Wouldn't even risk Owen,he could be off after 5 minutes, better off on the bench.

I think that Terry is a much better player than either Rio and Sol Campbell. He should be a regular for years to come. Owen should start on the bench.

I would imagine if owen plays then the turks will be putting the boot in on his leg from the first minute and tryign to get him injured again.

GK James
LB Bridge
CB Campbell
CB Terry
RB Neville
LM Scholes
DM Gerrard

I wouldn't risk Rooney in this game, the atmosphere will be too much for him, especially in light of his recent outbursts.

Heskey and Vassell have both played in high pressure games and know what to expect from the Turks.

Plus i don't thnik Rooney is ready anyway.

Not the real one
John Terry is class. I might put a punt on him to score for England in a 1-1 draw.
As for upfront instead of Owen. I think Heskey and Rooney with Owen and Vassel on the bench, thats more than enough firepower.

He is 17. Its Turkey away. He is a mouthy little f***.

He should not play.

Michael Owen wasn't that much older when he played in the Argentina game and scored that blinding goal at France 98 was he?

I tihnk he will do fine and play up to the occasion besides he's scored in his last two england games which isn't bad going.

I just raelly think Turkey will be on the wind on Saturday after what has happened this week and i don't like the fact that Eriksson seems to thnik he'll be okay when he has been flying off the handle at referees recently. I think experience is that way to go.

You're probably right, maybe ROoney coulkd be a last 20 minutes secret weapon.

Stick him on if we need a goal.......
