Unsuitable Wedding Songs

Funnily enough, Mrs ELS and I were DJ-ing at a wedding a few months ago and we had to be very careful to listen to the lyrics of songs before doing the play-list.

Loads of songs that we thought were uplifting, positive bits of cheese, had lyrics that were actually really gloomy and negative. Quite surprising!

I've argued with a mate that when you analyse lyrics too much, EVERY song becomes gloomy and negative

I mean, who on earth sits down in a wonderful mood and thinks "Hey, I'm going to write a song!". Unless they're on drugs....
