Read before comment,

If you choose to disagree then do just that!!!!

Rant 1........
Is it me or am I the only person who thinks that Painter is a liability??

He was awful last night and has not been much better this season to date. The only reason Dunk had to make the tackle that got him the booking was from the disgraceful pass from Painter in the first place.

He’s to slow, when he and Scum Murray were running after the ball in the second half Painter looked as though he was in quick sand.

You will notice most teams are attacking us down our right, if I watched Brighton as an opposing Manager, I would spot Painter as the weakest link.

Also as a side issue on the Radio he said it’s just another game WHAT!!!!! NOTHING ELSE MATTERS than beating the scum.

Rant 2......
Why does Noone seem to be the fall guy however we are playing? He had Ramage in his pocket all game. He’s a bright player and gives us an option that at the moment Lua Lua does not seem to give us.

Rant 3......
Substitutions.......
Have managed a very successful Sussex side for 6 years, I don’t seem to understand the logic in some of the changes Managers make. We were clearly under the cosh after 30 minutes last night. Having got to 80 minutes without conceding, there should have only been 1 change up to that point, Tano coming off as he was knackered. That leaves us 2 more changes to shut up shop and do us best to hang on because at that point that’s all we were doing. Any changes made last night were not going to help, we seemed clueless no matter who was on the pitch, so the changes had their effect. Nothing!

I am truly gutted about last night, having been at all the games in the 70's to now involving Palace Last night was harder to take than any of the others.

Why do I hate Palace so much???? Because they breath.

Spot on with all three rants. I do not disagree with any of them.

I thought Painter was great last season, but I said myself to friends at the game that most attacks seem to come down his side of the pitch and sadly I concur that he may indeed be a weak link.

Rant 1 - you're not the only person, although I'm not with you myself. He may be one of the weaker players, but he's not a liability.

Rant 2 - Yes, but Ramage had been subbed off then and his replacement Parr won the ball off Noone a couple of times, so Gus replaced Noone with fresher legs in Lua-Lua, who then went and skinned Parr a couple of times

Rant 3 - No football fan agrees with their manager's substitutions ever, its a fact of life.

Disagree strongly with the third rant. Our best policy in getting past the other team is to play well, on the ball, in the opponent's half. We know how to do it, but just didn't or wouldn't. It's not kamikaze football, it's what we do. To 'shut up shop' is to invite pressure which at present we are not well coped to deal with. We should play to our strengths - not theirs.

Painter, incidentally, was awful. Vincelot showed how to play that position against Liverpool.
