Hi Guys,

I had a idea for my final year sports product I was think of a way for linemans to have a accurate but fast way to get offsides 100% right. Something like hawkeye etc. If anyone has any ideas of a easyish way to implement this to the modern I would be most grateful for your suggestions

Put the linesmen on rails and have them power up and down the line with a computer keeping them level with the ball, which will be made of cast iron so it can be tracked by magnets. Players will also have iron boots and if a goal is scored or free kick given, they are repositioned immediately by the magnets.

There you go, a bit more work and you've got a winner. No need to thank me, it's a gift

So you want us to do your project for you? Perhaps you could get each NSC member to do one line of your dissertation as well?

Three years of university education has got you to a mere notion of something and no f***ing clue on how to make an idea real....

No wonder the country is in recession.

It should have laser beams lots of laser beams and some sort of robotic arm for raising the flag. I will take 30% of any future revenue when FIFA adopt my groundbreaking concept

Strikers' job: get into a scoring position and score.
Defenders' job: stop strikers getting into scoring position and scoring.
Role of offside rule: help defenders stop strikers scoring.
Defender tactics: move forward to put striker offside, gaining free kick. In other situations this type of action might be construed
as ungentlemanly conduct, with the defender penalised not the striker!
Teams/crowd impact: probably the most contraversial/provocative aspect of many games.
Studies suggest: it is impossible for officials to give an accurate offside verdict much of the time.
Best solution: scrap/limit the offside rule, much as hockey successfully did over 20 years ago!!

Looking forward to seeing your report/conclusions/recommendations.
