Goal for Antwerp, they are top.
And USG are now in second.
USG will finish 3rd as they are level on points with Genk. When teams are tied if there is no rounding up to be removed then the team who finished the regular season higher gets the nod in the final play off table.

All teams play against each other in the regular season, just like the Premier League, however those who finish in the top four places go into a championship play-off round.

Now this is where it starts to get confusing...
The points obtained by those top four teams in the regular season is then halved (and rounded up) before the start of the championship play-off round.
These four teams then play against each other (home/away) in order to accumulate the most points to become champion.
For example last season, Union SG were first in the regular season but not champions as Club Brugge had gained more additional points than them in the championship play-off with 36+14=50 (whilst USG had 39+7=46).

European spots are determined by championship play-off position this season so:
1st means Champions League play-off
2nd means Champions League second qualifying round
3nd means Europa League play-off
My head has exploded reading this. 🤯

1. The Mother of all chokes.
2. The worst substitution of the season.
3. Adringa is the real deal. No brainer to bring him back to the Amex.

Wouldn’t that be a backwards step for Sima?
I don’t think so. Ligue 1 is higher quality, but going from the bottom team there to a title contender, and importantly a well-run set up, in Belgium A league is a good move. His career needs a bit of a jump start after spending most of last season injured.

Absolutely gutted for the USG fans today. To go from Champions at 89 mins to third is a sickener.

In terms of the league, yes.

In terms of the teams position in their respective league (not losing every week) and the fact they can offer European football. Might give him the chance to shine more
