Ulloa hugs Bruno after the defender set up his goal
Leo Ulloa has thanked Bruno for his 12th goal of the season – and revealed how the pair hatched a plan to outwit QPR.
Albion’s top scorer struck after 77 minutes to set up last night’s momentous 2-0 win.
He met Bruno’s low cross in front of the North Stand and brought the Amex to its feet.
Ulloa revealed: “Bruno told me before the game that their centre-backs are very good in the air and that he was going to try to cross hard and low.
“I normally like crosses hung up in the air. We had very few chances to get crosses in but it was really important that we spoke beforehand so I understood what he was going to do.
“He did it exactly how he said he would. It was a perfect cross.”
QPR boss Harry Redknapp could hardly believe his team had lost after dominating much of the contest. He said: “It’s very frustrating. I was just waiting for a goal to come for us.”
