[Albion] UEFA U19 European Championships - new signing Tommy Watson

The 2025 UEFA European U-19 Championships have commenced today in Romania. It is an 8-team tournament so smaller than other competitions. Albion are represented this year by new signing Tommy Watson, fresh from his heroics in the Championship play-off final at Wembley, who has been called up for the England squad.

England begin their campaign tomorrow when they take on Norway. They also have Germany and the Netherlands in their group.

Former Albion academy player Shim Mheuka is also in the squad.

As it is international football he is playing one year up (with the cut-off being Dec 31 rather than Aug 31 for club football). But yes, he is the second-youngest in the squad.
