UEFA Fine Real Madrid for racist chanting

Not sure if this has been posted but saw today that UEFA have fined Real Madrid for the racist chanting during the game against Leverkusen.

Anyone who watched Sky would have seen it was terrible. A group of Real fans (the Galactica Sur) were shirtless with tatoes of Hitler on their chests chanting 'Sieg Heil' almost continuously throughout the match.

Now bearing in mind Roma got forced to play this Champions League games behind closed doors after the ref was hit by a missile what do you think the punishment for Madrid was?


A £6,000 fine.


If it had been an English club they would have been kicked out of Europe.

Richie, I agree with you about the fine, its pathetic. However I'm getting tired of the 'if it was an English club....' line. It's boring and we wouldn't be chucked out. Also, the annoying thing about Madrid is that this is the first time they have been 'officially' charged. It's happened before and it will happen again, but they need to be brought to book for it next time.

Weren't you going to be kicked out of Euro 2004 for any more hooligan problems. Oh yeah then you went and had more arrested and were told "this is your final warning"
UEFA are too soft, they need to crack down on things.
