Listening to radio talk sport, they were areguing if this is a bit of a mickey mouse cup such as Sherpa van was once.... What do you think...to teams such as Charlton, Birmingham etc I'm sure they would not see it as such...

For fans of Hearts it's not a mickey mouse competition. We took over 3000 to Bordeaux last night and won! Unfortunately I couldn't make it but I was speaking to one of my pals. It sounded like some night.

I think its great, a proper knock out cup competition, where the locations are a great leveller of so called 'big' teams against peasant poor opposition

Liverpool vs Steaua Bucharest being a prime example

whingeing scousers

top western europe side dont like it up em !

Bring back the European Cup of Home and Away where the winner of each European league played in it. A least in them days when Liverpool, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest won the competition they could say they were the best. When Manchester United beat Bayern Munich neither of the teams had won there league the year before.

For our sort of team it is a massive competition. For fans it is great, and it takes the club onto the next levelfor money etc. I would love to see my team in it :clap2:

Tal radio are only saying that becasue they support Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelski which makes it a mickey mouse competition. Will Arsenal think of it as a mickey mouse cup when they go out of Champions League? ???

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
I couldnt believe the 'sour grapes' arrogance of Graeme Souness after Blackburn Rovers crashed out earlier on this season.

Surely for Rovers if they had bothered their arses it would have been one of the highlights of a relegation season !

Talksports attitude is typical arrogance by toadying media towards the "big three". Much of the sports media, whether it be tabloid papers, sky, or Talksport have constantly talked down the Uefa cup over the last few years. Tell a lie long enough and people will believe it! Both the European cup and the Uefa cup should be knockout Imo. The present stucture of the European cup is geared up towards the "big clubs", giving them a second bite at the cherry should they slip up agains't some works team from outer Transalvania! That wouldn't suit the media men and image makers!
