On the morning of the Pompey match, January 18th, 2003, we had nineteen points. We have nineteen points now. If we gain as many points, from November, as we did two seasons ago then we will finish in the top six.

Unlikely but what a thought.

So how many points do you expect from November?

Wins against Crewe and Burnley a draw against Derby and spanked by West Ham anmd Ipswich? Actually i have a good feeling about the trip to Portman Road. so all in all eight or ten points.

we sat at the foot of the table and it went like this:
P W L D F A PTS
15 2 12 1 14 32 7

today however

P W L D F A PTS
15 5 4 6 14 19 19

with all the injuries we've had, with not having key members of the squad for the opening few games, with the new faces that are just now fitting in to the system. i think we've done really well.

every club will suffer set backs in the season i hope that ours is behind us, and we can put together a little run that will ensure our championship status for next season.

lets not forget that our aim for this season is survival, as we approach the half way stage, only 8 games to go, i see a realistic points total of about 31, if we can double that with a good second half of the season we should be looking at finishing in 10-12 place.
an outstanding achievement, with all our stadium woes.

of course this is all about if's, and is by no means that easy. but i find it a time for reflection and walk about the house with a big smile on my face because

we are brighton, super brighton, from the south.

At least we have a ground :clap2:

I dunno, we shouldn't get too carried away you know, we should be keeping our feet firmly on the ground.

Clearly we're gonna miss the play-offs a la Millwall last season because of an FA cup run that takes us into the final, and the guarantee of uefa cup football next season cos our opponents are in a champions league place.

Next season, Real Madrid at the Withdean
