Albion under-21s had two players sent-off for the second game running at Lancing tonight.
Goalkeeper Joshua Smith and left-back Rob Hunt both saw red in the closing stages of a 2-0 defeat by Reading at Culver Road.
Substitute Harry Cardwell headed the visitors in front with three minutes left from a corner.
Smith ran half the length of the pitch to protest to referee Lloyd Wood about an infringement and was booked.
Smith was then given a straight red card for bringing sub Tariqe Fosu down inside the box.
Hunt also received his marching orders for a second caution in the ensuing confusion before Fosu converted the resulting penalty past Smith's goalkeeping replacement Harry Doherty.
Albion had central defenders Danny Pappoe and Glen Rea sent-off in the previous game at Newcastle.
The result means they remain bottom of Premier League Division Two.
