Swindon, but used to be Manila
Yes I have a large house but it's personal choice, still it won't be as big as your 40' (foot) tv!!

The reason I am looking for an Internet site is I know all the advice will be Brighton shops and I know about richer sounds and hills, mum still lives in portslade but there are no good independent shops in Swindon.

Currys, comet etc have NO experts working for them so normally I just read up on the Internet then look in comets etc and after I find the best deal and order on line,,

Thanks

Ok, 40 foot would have be slightly over-bearing. 40 inch is quite big enough for my room.

Trouble with a lot of the smaller telly places is that they are struggling to make ends meet.

My elderly mum bought a TV from Roger Green Sound and Vision on Rowlands Road, Worthing thinking she'd get a good personal service. The sound was dreadful (he tried to convince her it was because it was a flat screen, unlike her old fashioned telly). It didn't have a manufacturers warranty, just one from the shop, which makes me think it had already been returned. He came out to fiddle with it, but pretty much refused to change it saying there was nothing wrong (there was, I heard it!), and they 'no longer had the box'. Obviously when you're running a small business he couldn't afford to lose the sale of a dodgy TV.

I finally sorted it (after she'd suffered with a dodgy sound for weeks trying not to complain) by attaching some separate speakers.

Comet would have just swapped it, because they could afford to.

Not the real one
Richers are always the best place for tv's and sound systems. Those guys really love techy stuff and I've never had a problem returning anything ( I had a Cambridge Audio CD player that developed a small pause problem, they exchanged it even after the warranty ran out). Top notch service, good prices and quality products.
