1. It's amazing how much the camera moves around when the feet start stamping in the south stand.
2. Virgo should lose the mullet.
3. Knight is a more useful player than Zamora -- which is meant to be a compliment.
4. Brighton on their day can handle anyone in this division and play some entertaining, passing football at the same time.
5. Cullip is sheer class. What is he doing in Division Two?
6. Plymouth are over-rated.
7. I'm beginning to like McGhee.
8. I wish I could actually attend more home games.
9. We need Falmer.
10. It's nice to be able to drink beer while watching Brighton.

Thank you and goodnight.

Live Conclusions From Being At The Plymouth Game

1. It's amazing how much you don't notice the camera moving around when the feet start stamping in the south stand.
2. Virgo has more hair than Danny Cullip, Chalie Oatway and Adam El-Abd combined.
3. Knight is a shorter player than Zamora -- which isn't meant to be a compliment.
4. Brighton on their day can handle anyone in this division and play some entertaining, passing football at the same time. And about time too!!
5. Cullip is sheer class. What is he doing in Division Two? Had his best game of the season today.
6. Plymouth are over-rated.
7. I'm beginning to like McGhee too.
8. I actually attend home games.
9. We need Falmer.
10. It's nice that those not at the game are be able to drink beer while watching Brighton. But beer tastes better after the excitement of the game!!

5. Cullip needs to put in a few more performances like this to justify his legendary status, he's been sub-par for most of the season

I don't intend to see Plymouth more than once this season. But on the basis of that performance they're not very good at all. In actual fact I don't think we were the best team in Div 2 the year we won it either!

Lets clear this up for once and for all.

The team that is top of the league after 46 games is the best team in the league. This year it will be Plymouth Argylle and Brighton & Hove Albion were the best team in the league when they won div 2 by 6 clear points 2 years ago.

Is that clear ?.

Completely agree. I think Danny can be quality, but as far as I'm concerned he is the most overrated player to wear the Albion shirt of all time.

Where was "Captain Marvel" at the start of last season when we lost 12 in a row?? He was abysmal during that period and only started playing well when Blackwell arrived. In fact, if you look at all the times when Danny has played really well for us it has been when he has played alongside someone with more experience who has played at a higher level (Morgan, Blackwell, and to less of an extent - Butters).

If he didn't spend so long kicking people and calling his team-mates "CVNTS!!" all the time I might think higher of him. All this talk of him being good enough for The Premiership is rubbish as far as I'm concerned.

Oi oi oi. I'm not having THAT.
I'd agree in so far as Cullip is not Premiership, but as far as the rest of your slating goes, I'd have to say, you are talking absolute bollocks. Cullip is one of the most commanding centre-backs this club has EVER had. Along with Zamora, he is the main reason why we skinned 2 divisions in a row. 9 times out of 10, he wins his battles with whoever he is up against. He's not subtle. He's not creative. But he is a blood-and-guts centre-back that every other team in this division would have in their team,no question. He's a leader. He's a legend. And there'e no-one we miss more out of the team when he's not playing.

Now back off.

I knew people would not take kindly to me criticising Cullip. He's a good player in my opinion but every single team bar none in Division 2 and 3 has a "blood and guts centre back". It's not exactly a rare commodity in British football. That is why all the fuss bemuses me. I prefer my centre backs with a brain cell - like Morgan in 2001/2002, who was more influential in us winning the championship that year IMO. I thought he was absolutely superb and a better reader of the game than "Sir Danny".

Cullip spent ages on the transfer list and NOT ONE club made a bid for him. Aside from the lack of loyalty he showed by requesting the transfer in the first place, does that not suggest that he is over-rated by the Albion faithful?

Part of the problem is that I still find it hard to praise someone who is so damaging to other player's morale. Do you think it helped Robbie Pethick when Cullip famously smacked him at Swindon? Did he do Will Packham's fragile confidence any good by endlessly calling him a "cvnt" at Port Vale in the final game of 2001/2002?

It is only my opinion.

Chesney christ that is ludacrist mate.

Danny Cullip is a legend. If you notice when he calls his team "CVNTS" it is only to tell them to get their finger out and normally gets a positive result!

Yep agree with both of those. Was quite funny the amount the camera shook when the fans were celebrating the first goal. You gatta love our tempory stands. At least they didn't fall apart in the wind like a certain Croydump ground.

Sky must have got good value for money on Saturday. It was a very entertaining game - probably one of the best this season.

It was particularly pleasing to have an atmosphere - the last few games you could have heard a pin drop on occasions. Oh, and the football has been dross too.

I saw that on Sunday morning on telly. I don't mind it - it makes the place look like it's rocking. The same thing happens whenever a home goal goes in during the Old Firm games, I kinda liked the similarity. :p

I don't want people to start thinking that I don't rate Cullip. I think he is a very good 2nd Div defender, but not as good as most Albion fans think he is. That is all.

I agree. i do think he is a very good defender, among the best in division Two, but some people here seem to think he should be playing in the Champions League!

He's is brave, strong and a good tackler but can't pass too well and sometimes lets his 'leadership' turn into blaming anyone but himself.

Sky called him an Albion legend which I just couldn't go along with. Legends are the likes of Peter Ward, Jimmy Case, Steve Foster, Mark Lawrenson, Garry Nelson, to an extent John Byrne, and I reckon Sir Bobby Z counts too.

I'm willing to accept that 'legend' status may depend what era you grew up watching. But take Fozzie as an example. He was always taken the piss out of by other clubs' fans and seemed quite limited, but he was playing at the highest level and therefore unquestionably a much better player than Danny.
