I went into the concession turnstile at Barnsley and gave the man my tenner. He gave me my ticket but then said I wasn't under 16.

So I waved my NUS card at him and he asked me how old I was. I said 19 and he said I must pay full fare.

I told him I wanted a student discount, and he said he would do it for me just this once. What a muppet. It is not as if I am going to be coming to the Barnsley away end very often.

The clown then gave me another ticket, my tenner back and one pound change.

So I got paid £1 to get in!!
