I always like Turkey for Christmas but it seems it's becoming less and less popular as a Christmas meal... Why is this? Do you still have Turkey for Christmas?...

??? :D

I am the only meat eater in my family so i get to choose. Over the years I've had Wood Pigeon, Pheasant, Beef and even Sea Bass as my crimbo meal.

I don't find Turkey very pleasant to tell you the truth.

roast turkey is delicious.

Even though it isn't christmas, I had some at work the other day, goes down briliantly with a bit of stuffing.

Turkey is great.

What would the Christmas to New Year week be without roast turkey, turkey sandwiches, turkey curry and turkey and vegetable soup?

I tried goose one year but still prefer turkey.

If you pop little blobs of butter under the skin it bastes itself whilst cooking and doesn't become dry.

I used to enjoy a goose every now and again. But nowadays I'm getting too old to attract those sorts of attentions...

I don't know Roz. Remember the comment about the picture your avatar is taken from.

Wasn't goose the traditional fare, I think turkey was imported from the States where they eat it at Thanksgiving. I don't mind eating turkey at Chrimbo, its about the only time I ever eat a roast dinner, can't be bothered with all that hassle all year round. For me Sunday dinner is usually something like a curry, its the one day in the week that I have enough time to cook something so labour and time intensive.
