The F.A takes football thuggery very seriously.

Bit like when they said that what went on outside Elland Road following the Millwall game was beyhond their control because it happened outside the ground.

No matter how impeccably the Cardiff fans acted this time the whole reason for the trouble is that Cardiff have a reputation, which is sadly warranted, and when they visit other teams with large holigan following there will nearly alway be trouble because people like Leeds and West Ham look to the Cardiff fixture for trouble.

When it's as out of hand as it is with some clubs ie Sheffield United, Cardiff and Leeds it hard to get rid off but Millwall seam to be sorting themselves out a little although I expect they still have a long way to go.

The problem of holiganism looks here to stay sadly and if anything it's starting to get worse again :nono: :nono:

there are too many people at Leeds who will never forgive or forget Cardiff for the turks carrying knives, or for covering Leeds fans in piss (children as well), or for throwing bricks at the kids. And yes I realise that not every Cardiff fan is in on that or condones it but the ones that do ruin it for the others. There are Leeds fans who want payback.

Spot on. It's a vicious circle. And it's certainly not only followers of clubs like Leeds and West Ham who look for trouble when teams such as Cardiff come to town. Let's not forget that Brighton thugs were hurling missiles at a coach full of Cardiff fans and attacking Leeds fans earlier in the season.

You're right that Millwall have made big efforts to improve their reputation, but their followers have still been involved in a number of clashes with rival fans this season by all accounts.

Biscuit, you really are a dullard.

Starry is saying that the Leeds fans will never forgive Cardiff fans for a sick chant about Turks carrying knives. He is not saying that Cardiff fans were carrying knives themselves.

Are you naturally this stupid, or does it take practice?

As with all his family, it comes naturally.

This time I accept the title 'Dullard'.

... and I don't consider myself stupid. Sometimes wrong, but never stupid.

Stupid is the F.A doing sweet FA about the rising hooliganism in the English game.

Knobheads are knobheads, and no football team has a monopoly on good or bad behaviour.

These people use football as an excuse for their behaviour, there is no justification for it period.

As for Leeds fans not forgiving Cardiff for the unsavoury Turkish chants, it is a little bit hypocricritical given that Elland Road is the spiritual home of "Who's that dying on the runway".

Two wrongs do not make a right though.

Totally agree with that. But then again, most normal people would shrug off this sort of chanting as the act of sub-human numpties on the wind-up instead of using it as an excuse to attack innocent coaches.

Despite the picture that hooly sympathisers like to paint, the fact is that they're rarely to be seen when they know they're actually likely to be targeted AND outnumbered. That's especially true of the pricks who attach themselves to our own club. Sad bunch of twats.

Indeed. I understand that Leeds fans have a full repertoire of Munich songs which are still sung whenever they play Man Utd. I also believe that Man Utd fans have responded in recent seasons with chants and flags relating to the Istanbul incident.

However, none of that in any way excuses the minority of idiots who were chanting Instanbul-related rubbish when Leeds visited Ninian Park earlier this season, and I was glad to read that our supporters clubs tried to build a few bridges on Saturday by laying wreaths at the base of the Billy Bremner statue at Elland Road, and I'm happy to report that there was no repeat of the chants during the game.

Not that it made any difference by the sound of it......

Christ this is getting ridiculous now :nono:

Like all the bollocks that was spouted on here before the Millwall game "I'm not going because I'm fearful of my/sons/grannies safety"........hands up here the people who felt scared that day? No-one, well policed, no problems

And I went to Leeds vs West Ham at Elland Rd 3 seasons ago and there was not a hint of trouble, and I certainly didn't fear for my life at any stage.....I'm going to sound like Ritchie "I'm interested in football violence" Morris here, but getting the buses from Elland Rd to the station, standing not 5 yards from me was a certain Bill Gardner, head honcho of the ICF. With his kid, minding his own business. Leeds fans and West Ham fans all mixed in together, had a laugh (how it should be)

Don't not go to Leeds because you are fearful, that's silly

PS Sorry LB, but there is only one ground in the country that most "ordinary" fans swerve..........

hasn't been sung at Elland Road for years. And I mean years. It can occassionally be heard under the stands at away games when our IHS and SC turn out but I cannot remember the last time it was sung.

And we certainly would not spend the money to get banners, unlike some -

Munich songs haven't been sung at Elland Road for a long long time, we might not have the greatest of reputations but we have dropped that. Occassionally the IHS and SC turn out and attempt to sing it under the stands, but it never last long.

The flowers and wreath left by Cardiff were a kind guesture.

I was reading a few Leeds v Man Utd reports from one of your websites earlier (leedsfans.org) and they were saying that the Munich stuff was being chanted at recent clashes between the sides at Elland Road, but they did say they were in response to Man Utd Istanbul taunts and flags.

I was quite relieved that there was no repeat of any such nonsense from our lot on Saturday, as I had expected some to be honest. I was also very pleased that another abysmal chant (appalling stuff, but nothing to do with Leeds) that sometimes comes from the young chavs in the Grange End section of Ninian was drowned out with boos when a few idiots at the back tried to get it going after the game had finished. The same also happened when they started chanting it against Blackburn, so perhaps they'll get the message soon.
