No, we had Mark McCammon who is almost a replica of Benjamin and who we really should have held onto.

I was thinking more about goals scored as of now,he seems to be banging them in for Peterborough,Iwelumo I agree is doing the same for Colchester....but as for the other names mentioned on deadline day......haven't heard them mentioned as far as goals are concerned, except Aaron McLeod(?) perhaps we did well to hang on to our money?? :albion:

About 4 years ago, I was sitting by a pool in Cyprus wearing my Albion shirt, when this sweet little black girl came up to me and said "My uncle used to wear that shirt." I went to meet the family (Trevor's sister's) and they were brilliant.

I remember thinking that hoiking oneself around trying to get a job, as he seemed to be doing at the time, was def not the glamour end of the football we watch on Sat evenings.

Isn't he at Peterborough now?

The one taht slipped through the net was Iwelumo who came after, gave the team the impetus to cement the play offs, Still got slagged off by the fans, and didnt come because we were too tight.

Benjamin was pretty shit, but mangaed to score a few off his arse and head.

Fell out with McGhee apparently after a hotel incident before (i think) Wycombe away (which he scored in!).

Not a bad scoring rate that weekend....

Hither (sometimes Thither)
I'd have Private Benjamin. Him with a face of mud and absent eyes all damp from a day of military surgery. A bonnet twice the depth of his scalp and a pocket of correspondence from his mother sending him a writen list of error.

I'd have deceased legendary Motown drummer Benny Benjamin over any of them.

Trevor Benjamin looks a bit of a f***-up given how many clubs he has gone through, bizarre that Peterborough would sign him last season and then push him out on loan to anyone, unfortunately meaning we didn't get to see him on Big Ron Manager! Yes, even Steve Bleasdale didn't want him! :D

Kandol apparently had a decent game at the weekend, won a penalty but I'm sure if we had signed him, would have been treated by our fans like another McCammon. Nottingham Forest are now sniffing around McLeod so that shows our interest wasn't that crazy. Ibehre looked for me the most threatening striker on the pitch on Saturday.

Talking of players that MM was slated for not getting in. The french left back and Tom Brighton - how well did they play when we beat Millwall last week?

LI - I think SOSWF means the Gray's Striker - Aaron McLean.

Yes, that's the one Forest are after, sorry to spell his name wrong.

Brighton is injured and Bakayoko still in the Reserves, so we didn't see either.

Ah, I thought you meant Izale McLeod.

How many strikers do Forest need!?? I guess you can buy up as many as you want to avoid potential rivals snapping them up, a la Warnock.
