I'm pretty sure somebody posted at least two identical threads about it a few weeks ago.As the OP from eight years (!) ago, that's great news. Isn't there a micro pub on the station these days too?
This is WONDERFUL News. I so loved The Trevor. I played cricket just out of Glynde for many years and was drinking in there from the age of 15, sorry 18.Reopening.

Yes, that was the one. I used to camp there each year and I played many a match at that venue. Special place with many memories. I first played there when I was 12 and was stumped by an 80 year old wicket keeper, Bill Bleach (RIP- obviously).Did you play at that lovely little Cricket pitch further up the road set in the estate?
I played there once against a team which included The Dark Lord himself Bassam, who’s home ground was that? Iirc there were Alpacas in the adjoining fieldYes, that was the one. In 1992 I took my best ever bowling figures there. 9 for 15. It was the entire opposition team because one batsman had an argument at tea and went off in a huff.
Brian and Nancy Taylor owned the Trevor. I don't think Brian's heart was in it after Nancy passed away. They were such a lovely couple and well thought of in the area. The Trev has a very special place in my own life and I'm glowing at the news it's back.
I think he played for Stanmer Village or some such side. The team who played there were the BBOBS. The ground eventually went back to the manor in the early 2000s. It's all part of the estate now.I played there once against a team which included The Dark Lord himself Bassam, who’s home ground was that? Iirc there were Alpacas in the adjoining field
I had a look on Google Maps and the square has disappeared but the little Wooden Changing Room still seems to be there, i guess that site is where they have The Live Supreme Festival?I think he played for Stanmer Village or some such side. That's the one. I haven't been in the field since 2009. I'm surprised, but happy, the pavilion remains.I had a look on Google Maps and the square has disappeared but the little Wooden Changing Room still seems to be there, i guess that site is where they have The Live Supreme Festival?
