Im unsure on the trains as it seems i need to get the underground to Euston only the train to manc leaves within 1 minute of the underground arriving at euston?
The strangest thing is it says it takes 39 Minutes to get from London vic to eust ..?:shootself

that 39 mins is tosh,do that jaunt on a regular basis and i think they add on the time it takes you to queue for your ticket, take enough change with you to get the ticket from the machine if buying it seperate and it should take no more than 20 mins start to finish

Had to travel over to Cleethorpes to buy the train tickets for tomorrow. Nice weather here at the moment oop north , should be ok weatherwise with a small risk of showers for Saturday.

train to Huddersfield

Might be best to treat it as two separate journeys.

I looked into this a couple of days ago, at which point it was possible to pick up cheap advance fares to and from Manchester (£20+ one way, £30+ the other way, if memory serves). Then you'd just need an offpeak return from Manc to/from Hudds, which is quite cheap (£10-£12, I think).

On some of the trains I looked at, the first class singles were cheaper than the standard class, which can't be bad.

(Bear in mind I live in London, though, so haven't factored in the Sussex-London leg).

Hope this helps.
