Trains to Burnley

Has anybody sorted out any decent trains to and from Burnley? I can't seem to get it under 6.5 hours and getting back to Brighton in the early hours. I was back at Brighton Station from Sunderland at 21:30.

I have a lift as trains are rubbish.

When we played up there we went into London and got the train to Leeds then to Burnley vice versea coming back. According to the rail people at the time that was the quickest. From leaving London it should have taken about 3.5 hours.

I couldn't find that, all i found was loads of connections and getting home very late, so i'm driving up

Blimey just had another look at the trains and cheapest i can find (with 4 changes) is £138 !!

I wasn't having a dig btw

I thought about going by train bit its just too expensive. Had made my mind up to go by coach but i've just found out i'm down to work

We have paid £19 from London to Leeds and then it is a tenner across to Burnley. Early start from Brighton, about 0545, but who cares. It is ROD’s 60th, the Champers, Claret, Port and Stilton have been purchased and there is a beer festival in Burnley.
