Okay. Go on the TfL site, search travel cards and there will be a PDF breakdown of adult fares and destinations. You’ll find that an off-peak daily travel card for Zones 1-9 inc. Watford Jct. is £18.00. Cheaper if you get an Oyster card though.
Seems we can do it for £36.45 for two adults and one child (including Network railcard) from Burgess Hill
London travelcard for zones 1-6(Thamelink) and then return from Harrow and Wealdstone to Watford Junction.
Cheaper to get travelcard just for Thameslink as I understand you can use it on any route whilst they are messing about with timetable so you can go to Victoria if you want. Assume this is whether or not Thameslink are cancelling trains on their route but stand to be corrected!
