I know Tracy well, she's an old mate. She dashed from a music event (she's shadow cultural secretary) to raise a point of order on the journalists walking out of the lobby briefing at no 10, so wasn't expecting to be in the commons on Monday. So yes it is a complete storm in a tea cup. Given the state of Johnson's shabby affected 'I'm one of you' schtick, at least she's genuine and honest. Her response was very funny on twitter.

Nothing to do with me being pedantic - more to do with libel laws and Bozza stance

he has resigned over the matter. i dont think one can damage his reputation further.

After all the hoo ha, Tracy has put that dress up for auction. The proceeds to go to Guiding.

Its ridiculous that there's so much coverage about it. There was absolutely nothing wrong with what she was wearing. Well done to her though for turning all this nonsense into profit for a good cause.

I believe he was second in command to Jimmy Krankie, Leaves serious doubts about her judgement.

And how on earth was she supposed to know he would do that? People don't wear t shirts saying "I'm a nonce" you know*

*well actually, there was this stag do ......

This.

Unbelievable how many people are wetting themselves about this yet don't raise an eyebrow at the appalling behaviour of MPs whilst in the house. Cat calling, baying and generally acting like morons.

She shouldn't have worn it because it becomes a distraction and people get diverted from the real business of parliament, which is supposed to be making laws to make our lives better.

Appropriate attire for Parliament ?

I'm not mortally offended by a bare shoulder, and thankfully I'm not Piers Morgan. A blessing we all share. But I'm not really sure if this is an entirely appropriate sartorial selection for an MP in the Chamber. She looks like she's about to totter out and hit the gin menu in a local Spoons. Awaits the 'gammon' accusations and 'wimmin can wear whatever they want' brigade, but there's a time and a place IMO. If we shrug this off, then we may be only a step or two away from Diane Abbott wearing a crop top at the dispatch box. And who (other than JC) would really want to see that ?

She scrubs up alright for a 58 year old.

Nothing inappropriate here. Now Boris Johnson’s hair or suitability to be PM or any other M, that’s another matter.

I think he qualifies for the role of clueless, small-minded, narcissistic, elitist **** doesn’t he? Actually scrap that, I forgot we were on Tory Wanker Party Stand Chat.

The story of the dress deserves a lot less coverage, whilst the dress itself would have benefited from some more.

Time to move on. There's nothing to see.

West is BEST
I heard she was actually out socialising, got called in and wasn’t expecting to be up to talk.
Who cares? Not her which is the main thing.
If she was plotting up there every day in similar attire it would be an issue.
She isn’t. It’s not.

Anything goes these days. Except in 1901 ironically.

It has already Mr Schofield will keep that (and coronavirus) off the front pages for a good 4 days

Quite so.

When that story dies down, one hopes that she isn't given the cold shoulder in Parliament any more than the dress has done.
